This small group adventure combines the beauty of Scotland’s Inner Hebrides with whisky, history, and captivating wildlife encounters. Stay overnight in the colourful town of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, stroll along the pristine sandy beaches on the Isle of Iona, and try delicious seafood in Oban. As a special treat, you’ll set out on a wildlife boat tour to see the famous Fingal’s Cave up close and explore the uninhabited island of Staffa. And, of course, no tour of Scotland would be complete without visiting iconic Highland gems like Glen Coe and Loch Lomond, making this a truly unforgettable experience for every nature lover.

Itinerary

Leaving Edinburgh, journey west past the ancient city of Stirling towards the scenic beauty of Loch Lomond. Explore the charming village of Luss, take photos from the Rest and Be Thankful viewpoint and enjoy free time in pretty Inveraray for lunch. Visit the ancient Dunadd Fort before continuing towards the bustling port town of Oban for the ferry across to Mull. Spend two nights in Tobermory, an adorable multi-coloured harbour town.

After breakfast, enjoy a cruise to the Treshnish Isles and Staffa. Sit back and relax on this water-based adventure around the beautiful Treshnish Isles. Throughout this six-hour adventure you may spot dolphins, seals, eagles and whales, while listening to commentary from the wildlife guide. Spend time on Lunga to explore the large puffin colony+. Listen to tales of giants and geology as you sail to Staffa and marvel at Fingal’s Cave. Enjoy the beautiful island views and marine life on the return to Tobermory.

Today, travel across mountainous Mull to visit the spiritual Isle of Iona, referred to as the sacred heart of Scotland. Enjoy free time to have lunch, visit Iona Abbey and explore the white sand beaches. Afterwards, take the ferry back to Oban, where you can try fresh seafood and have a drink with the locals. Spend the night in Oban.

Depart Oban and travel through the dramatic and breath-taking landscape of Glen Coe and onto the wild expanse of Rannoch Moor and Rob Roy’s old stomping ground. Stop at a whisky distillery to learn all about single malt production and to sample it straight from the source. Return to Edinburgh where the tour concludes.
